Date-Nut Pudding Cake with Vanilla Sauce

    The pudding cake was good...nice and moist, although I thought the bourbon was a little strong. Would just add less next time. I could not get the sauce to thicken in the double boiler and I had it on there for about 25 minutes. It was fine without it though.
