Custard Sauce

Ingredients

1 1/3 cups milk
2 egg yolks, beaten
2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
Dash of salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

Combine milk, egg yolks, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan; stir well. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened. Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla. Cool custard to room temperature; chill.
