Curry powder is a blend of a few or many spices, some of the standard ones being cumin, ginger, coriander, chiles, and turmeric (the source of the yellow color).

How to Make It

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl; stir well. Store mixture in an airtight container; shake well before each use. Use to season chicken, beef, pork, lamb, fish, or shrimp, or stir into lentils or rice.
