Bring water and next 4 ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 2 minutes. Stir in couscous then remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes.
Fluff couscous with fork before serving. Garnish with slivered almonds and chopped fresh parsley. Your taste buds will thank you for this!
