Delicious--quite spicy. I had a hard time finding the precooked lentils; finally found them in the rice section (with the 1 minute rice packages). Very easy. I used low fat sour cream since that's what I had on hand. Definitely not for the spice-timid.

Delicious and spicy. I used French Green Lentils and cooked them myself since that is what I had on hand. I also added two small russet potatoes peeled and diced to the soup. We ate it without a side salad, but that would have added a great way to balance out the meal. This will be a keeper for me because it comes together quickly and has lots of depth and flavor.

Outstanding! Loved the flavors and texture. Cooked 1 cup dried lentils with 2 cups of water rather than using packaged steamed lentils....lentils are so easy to prepare. Next time I will double the recipe because 2 of us almost ate it all!

Loved it! Cilantro gives it that spark.. I also have a Curry Lentils & Butternut Squash Soup, delicious too, but a mix between mediterrenean and asian flavors. http://www.theartofgood.com/curry-lentils-butternut-squash-soup/
