Curried Crab Spread

Excellent flavors, easy to make for our New Year's gathering. We used real crab meat instead of canned and served with a variety of crackers. May consider next time to use the dip as stuffing in little sandwiches. Will definitely use again.

This crab dip was delicious, the curry added an interesting twist to the standard crab dip. Super easy to make and this was completely gone by the end of the evening. I served the dish with assorted crackers, breads and crudite as part of a New Years Eve spread. I used a store bought curry powder for this dish but would like to change it up next time with a homemade curry powder. With crab meat being the star, I would only recommend this for a special occasion because you simply have to buy the best crab meat available.

Mine came out very watery. I used canned crab, but drained it well, I thought. The flavor was good. I'll try it again with fresh crab.
