I served these Tea Sandwiches at an event for our church and they were a hit! I made as directed and spread on an Omega 3, nutty, whole grain bread, received comments that they were the best sandwiches, and most were surprised when I told them some of the ingredients that these little treasures had in them, so I would certainly make them again and highly recommend these for a brunch, shower, bunco, or light lunch, as they were easy to prepare and delicious!

Theoretically, the flavors of this dish should be wonderful, but I always had concerns about the cream cheese. Consider the mass of dry ingredients present in the dish, the only moisture is the cream cheese. Against my better judgment I decided to make it. I prepared the dish according to the directions and softened the cream cheese accordingly. The problem is, even softened, cream cheese provides zero moisture to the dish, especially when combined with all of the other dry ingredients. There is 1 1/2 lbs. of cream cheese in the dish. What you end up with is an unyielding, mortar like ball of cream cheese mixed with chicken, veg, and spices. It was awful, inedible. A curried chicken salad could be wonderful, but next time I will use a mayonnaise or preferably yogurt/creme fraiche. Don't waste good food in this recipe.

5 stars all the way. I made this for my friend's bridal shower. She liked it so much, she asked me to make it for her wedding! Now I am sending the recipe out to wedding guests who have asked for it as well! I did not use coconut, and I also added about a 1/4+ cup of mayo. I put in on mini-wheat rolls, open-faced with a couple of diced tomatoes on top for more color. EXCELLENT RECIPE! One thing- make sure the cream cheese is VERY, VERY WELL SOFTENED- difficult to mix otherwise.

I just made this for a luncheon. After reading the reviews, I made these changes: I only used 2 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese, I added 1/4 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of mayo. Yum!
