- 1 cup(s) rice
- 1 1/2 cup(s) water
- juice of 1 lime
- 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1 teaspoon(s) vegetable oil
- Place all ingredients in a heavy wide bottom pot. Bring to a boil. Keep boiling until small holes drilling to the bottom of the pot appear. Lower heat to low. Cover. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes or until the water is absorbed and rice is clearly separated. Cuban rice is never mushy.
