I had to talk myself into trying this one since I typically am not a fan of radishes. But I'm all about learning to like things and decided to give it a shot. I did use a Pampered Chef Simple Slicer to slice my radishes so that I could get them really thin and then sliced them in half as well -- that way I wouldn't get a big bite of radish. Whatever the case -- this recipe is a keeper! It was really tasty and I felt as if I was doing something good for myself with each bite I took! YUM!
I am not a fan of cole slaw, as a general rule, but I love this salad. It has more flavor than your standard cole slaw & is not mayonnaise-y. I've taken this to several gatherings & it's always a hit. The only drawback - it is a bit time consuming to prepare.
I did not like this one. The amount of sugar was too much and taste of mayo made it seem like just another coleslaw. The dressing is too sweet. Yuck! I took this to a party but it really did not hold up well at all. It became limp and watery very quickly and did not look anything like the picture above. It looked like that before dressing. I think this will work without this dressing perhaps or quickly dressed and served immediately but with much less sugar. Disappointed.
I am a coleslaw fan but this is now my favorite! I used regular cabbage instead of nappa; the dressing is super delish and so easy to make. I couldn't believe I actually had all the ingredients at home. I'm going to use the dressing for other things, too. It's sooooo good.
