Crostini

Provide a variety of toppings for Crostini. To get a head-start to entertaining, Crostini may be made one day ahead and stored in a airtight container at room temperture.

This recipe goes with Pear-and-Blue Cheese Crostini, Butternut Squash-and-Pecan Crostini, Ham-and-Greens Crostini

Ingredients

  • 1 (8- to 10-oz.) French bread baguette, cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices (35 to 40 pieces)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400°. Place bread in a single layer on a baking sheet, and brush with olive oil. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on a wire rack (about 2 minutes).
