Creamed Spinach a La Lawry's

  • -2 (10 oz) pkg frozen chopped spinach
  • -5 slices fried bacon
  • -1 sml chopped onion
  • -2 garlic cloves, minced
  • -2 tbsp. flour
  • -1 1/4 tsp Lawry's Seasoned Salt
  • -1/2 tsp frest ground black pepper
  • -2 cups milk


  1. -Drain spinach and squeeze out excess moisture; chop finely and set aside
  2. -Fry bacon in heavy skillet until crisp; remove, drain & chop
  3. -Saute onion & garlic in bacon drippings
  4. -Add flour, seasoned salt & pepper
  5. -Blend thoroughly
  6. -Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until thickened
  7. -Add spinach & bacon, heat thoroughly
