    Worthy of a Special Occasion

    I made this for my husband for his Valentine's Day dinner with grilled sirloin steak & whole wheat rolls. I don't salt food, so I left it out. He gave it 5 stars. It's not like creamed spinach per se, but it's very yummy! I can't wait til tomorrow for the leftovers.

    This was a good solid recipe...I added a little more low fat cream cheese and a dash of worchester sauce for added flavor.

    This is a fantastic and delicious recipe. Tastes like something you would get in a quality steakhouse. I did substitute onion for the leeks but it is worth the effort. I make this again and again every time I make spinach. I served with a filet mignon and a baked potato for a great and quick dinner.

    This is now my go-to spinach recipe. I prefer leeks but finely chopped onions work, and I just use a bag, box, or bunch of fresh spinach. The leftovers separate a little in the fridge, but don't be alarmed: mix it up as you reheat and it's wonderful. Add a touch of nutmeg for a slightly richer taste for special occasions.

    This spinach is outstanding. I love the extra dimension the leek gives to the dish. I added just a touch more cream cheese but otherwise made it exactly as the recipe states. If you are looking for an interesting and delicious side dish, this is your answer. It's certainly special enough to make for company, as well.

    I found this to be a nice alternative to the full fat cream spinach that I love. It could use a touch of heat though; next time I will add some cayenne pepper.

    Just made this tonight. It was easy and delicious. I used fresh spinach and shallots since that was what I had.

    The only way my children will eat cooked spinach. I always add a pinch of nutmeg to white sauce and it's great in this recipe. Good and easy to make.

    I thought this was soo good and easy too! I don't have too much time for fussy side dishes so this is a great recipe for when you need an easy side that is still classy and tasty. I added sauteed mushrooms and some grated nutmeg. Delicious!
