Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons pan drippings from roast of beef
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

  1. Heat drippings in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Add flour; stir until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add salt and pepper. Serve hot with roast beef.
