Cream Cheese Frosting
This recipe goes with Nectarine-Blueberry Cake
Yield: Makes 2 1/4 cups
Ingredients
- 1/2 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
- Beat cream cheese and butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternately with milk, beginning and ending with powdered sugar. Beat at low speed until blended after each addition. Stir in grated lemon rind and vanilla.
