HORRIBLE! I followed the recipe to a "T" and all we could smell and taste was the vinegar. Maybe the recipe wasn't entered correctly?

I followed the recipe exactly, then mixed w/ club soda (one of the suggestions in the article). Even used in small amount, the vinegar taste is very strong.

JLampitt, You're not supposed to drink it "straight" -- it's meant to be a mixer in other beverages. That's not apparent from this webpage, but the print version of Sunset magazine offered several variations of how to use it: 1. Pour over ice and top with club soda. 2.Mix with sparkling wine. 3.Muddle with an orange slice and ice. Add bourbon and top with club soda. 4. Fill a tall glass with ice, layer in a splash of shrub, then add equal parts orange juice and tequila. 5. Shake with ice and equal parts shrub, gin, and sweet vermouth. Strain into a glass.
