Cranberry Sauce with Gin

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup gin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 5 crushed juniper berries
  • 1/2- by 3-in. strip of orange peel

Preparation

Combine cranberries, sugar, gin, coriander, juniper berries, and orange peel in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring, and cook until berries have popped, about 7 minutes. Remove from heat, let cool, and chill.
