Ingredients

  • 1 (12-ounce) package fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cups diced peeled pear (about 3)
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh orange rind
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 2 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted

Preparation

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes or until berries pop. Cool to room temperature (about 2 hours).
  2. Remove and discard cinnamon sticks. Stir in pecans. Cover and chill.
