The aroma of orange, cranberry, and cinnamon simmering together lets you know that the holidays are here.
1 (12-ounce) package fresh cranberries
1 1/2 cups diced peeled pear (about 3)
2 teaspoons grated fresh orange rind
1 cup fresh orange juice
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
2 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted
How to Make It
Combine first 8 ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes or until berries pop. Cool to room temperature (about 2 hours).
Remove and discard cinnamon sticks. Stir in pecans. Cover and chill.
