5 cups apple cider
3 cups cranberry juice cocktail
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
5 whole cloves
1 large orange, peeled and sliced
1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick
1 (1-inch) piece peeled fresh ginger, thinly sliced


Combine all ingredients in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Strain cider through a sieve into a bowl; discard solids. Serve warm.
