  • water
  • juice and grated rind of 1 orange
  • 2 tablespooon majarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1egg
  • 1 cup cranberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cut nuts
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teasp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teasp baking powder
  • 1/2 teasp salt


  1. Add enough boiling water to orange juice to make 3/4 cup liquid. Add rind and butter
  2. stir to melt. In another bowlbeat sugar and egg and stir in orange juice mixture. Add cranberries and nuts., flour and baking powder and baking soda and salt. Pour into greased loaf and bake 325 degree for 1 hour or until knife inserted comes out clean and not moist like batter
