- 2 (12-ounce) packages fresh cranberries
- 2 quarts water
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 6 whole cloves
How to Make It
Combine cranberries and water in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Cover and cook 10 minutes or until berries pop open. Strain mixture through very fine cheesecloth. Discard pulp.
Return strained juice to Dutch oven; add sugar, lemon juice, and cloves. Boil 5 minutes. Remove cloves, and discard. Chill juice thoroughly. Serve cold.
