Cranberry-Apple Pie Filling

12 large apples
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sweetened dried cranberries


Peel 12 large apples (about 6 lb.), and cut into wedges; toss with 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1/3 cup all-purpose flour. Melt 1/2 cup butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add apple mixture to skillet, and sauté 10 to 15 minutes or until apples are tender. Stir in 1 cup sweetened dried cranberries; remove from heat, and let cool completely.
