These were good. Kind of greasy. I would try these again with a butter substitute. They don't stay crunchy and are good within the first 20 minutes
Cornbread Croutons
Homemade croutons add welcome texture to soups and salads. Making them from cornbread couldn't be easier in this two-ingredient recipe.
This recipe goes with Ham-and-Bean Soup
Ingredients
- Cornbread mix
- Melted butter
Preparation
- Prepare 1 recipe (enough for 6 servings) cornbread mix according to package directions.
- Cut baked cornbread into 1-inch squares, brush with melted butter, and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
