Ingredients

  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into deep hot oil (375°); fry only a few at a time, turning once. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
