- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups whole kernel corn
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
How to Make It
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
Combine milk, corn, eggs, butter, and onion; mix well, and stir into dry ingredients.
Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls into deep hot oil (375°). Fry until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
