  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups sifted powdered sugar


  1. Combine shortening and butter in a medium mixing bowl; beat until well blended. Add whipping cream and vanilla, beating well. Gradually add powdered sugar; beat well after each addition.
