Comeback Sauce

The kissing cousin of rémoulade, this versatile spiced sauce originated in Jackson, Mississippi. Try it on chopped lettuce or anything fried.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

Stir together mayonnaise, chili sauce, ketchup, lemon juice, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, dry mustard, and pepper. Cover and chill 30 minutes before serving. Refrigerate 1 week.
