Coffee Frosting

  • Yield: 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Kahlúa or other coffee-flavored liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped chocolate coffee beans

Preparation

Beat butter at medium speed of an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add sugar and Kahlúa, beating until blended. Fold in chopped coffee beans.

Note: Chocolate coffee beans are available at specialty food shops or gourmet candy counters. Substitute cold brewed coffee for Kahlúa if desired.
