This may be the best coffee cake I've had! Great for a Thanksgiving or Christmas Morning.

- 1 pint(s) Milk Scalded
- 3/4 cup(s) butter
- 1 cup(s) Sugar
- 1 teaspoon(s) Salt
- 6 cup(s) Flour
- 2 Egg yolks
- 1 ounce(s) Yeast
- 1/2 Lemon rind
- Combine four, sugar, yeast and 1 tsp sugar 1/2 cup milk. Add butter sugar salt to rest of milk, then eggs, stir in yeast & some flour, kneed, continue adding flower until mixture is satin smooth.
- Let dough raise to double size, punch down, cut into 2 parts roll out into 1/4" thick cover with filling, roll like jelly roll, form circle, cut and twist cuts into butterfly tea ring style.
- Let rise again bake 375 till golden brown, ice with white icing, garnish w/candied cherries
- Filling: brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, pecans, raisins
