    Thought these were good and flavorful. My kids loved them. Let the chicken sit out of the refrigerator for a few minutes before broiling. If you preheat the oven and place the chicken on the top rack, you should have no trouble getting the chicken to brown.

    This recipe is a winner & I’m not a coffee drinker! Be sure to brine the chicken for at least 4 hours (no more than 6). At Henry’s, I found a Smoked Chipotle Chili powder that provided a nice balance of heat & smoke. Line your broiler pan (bottom) with foil and clean-up is a snap. Chicken legs often go on sale for .99/lb – you can’t beat that for a cheap weeknight entree that tastes far better than most store-bought rotisserie chickens.

    We did not like this recipe at all. The flavor was OK but the texture was mushy, and it was way too salty. Did not brown well.

    ... I was so curious that I had to try these, and you know what, they're actually delicious. And so cheap! I froze a bunch and they reheat wonderfully. I had no problem with browning or them being too salty - hmm, although, come to think of it and knowing me, I think I probably left them in the marinade for an hour at most.

    I thought that this was pretty good... but not great. I might give it another shot only because I really do like brining chicken.

    Easy, quick, and absolutely delicious. With the sugar added to the brine, the drumsticks brown almost too easily under the broiler. Five minutes of prep in the morning, and you've got an amazing dinner ready to go in the evening. Do not add more salt than the recipe suggests or your chicken will be over salted. My kids request this meal frequently.
