I really enjoyed this recipe - very sweet and great texture. My guests also greatly enjoyed the novelty of trying something new - no one had previously thought to incorporate avocado into ice cream.

The texture is fantastic, but the taste is just too much. I couldn't take more than a bite without feeling overwhelmed by the sickening uber-sweetness.

This ice cream was fantastic! It was easily adapted to a dairy-free version for allergic people in my family by using two cans of coconut milk instead of one coconut and one sweetened condensed milk. I added more sugar to taste, and used lime juice instead of lemon, along with the zest. Lime went really well with the flavor profile, and the texture is unbelievable! Definitely worthy of a special occasion due to its unusual and delicate flavors and beautiful color.

I am surprised by the comments left for this recipe. This ice cream was a hit when served at a party. I did not find the taste to be overly sweet, but one could certainly reduce or omit the granulated sugar if a less sweet taste was desired. The only change I made was to substitue lime juice for lemon...I found this dish to be creamy and refreshing...perfect for a spring get-together and one that will leave your guests speechless!

THis ice cream is amazing. Definitely dinner-party worthy. I did add some 72% dark chocolate into the food processor and then some unsweetened toasted coconut into the ice cream maker. My husband, who is no stranger to good food, said that he thought this was the best ice cream he's ever had.
