Forget the boiling water instead mix this into hot milk. So much more creamy that way and just what you want in a hot chocolate. This really is a great gift idea too! About to enjoy a mug of this cocoa with a slice of Lemon Blueberry Poppy Seed Bread. Check out my blog at: http://imapretendchef.blogspot.com/2011/01/classic-cocoa.html

I cut the recipe in half and added about 4 Tbsp more sugar. I mixed with water and it was really good, however I think there was a little too much chocolate in the mix. This is more of a traditional recipe, as compared to the mixes you buy in the store. Try cutting the chocolate down a smidgen, and this is a keeper!

This is a perfect hostess gift: inexpensive to put together, easy to prepare, and makes a beautiful presentation. I'm shipping two off to friends for Christmas and added extra marshmallows to prevent the contents from shifting.
