This is the best Bloody Mary I have had in ages. I made it with Clamato, giving it a "meater" taste and also reduced the amount of lemon juice. A keeper.
Classic Bloody Mary
Yield: Makes 6 servings
- 6 ounces vodka
- 3 cups tomato juice
- 6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons horseradish
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco
- In a pitcher, mix together the vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Tabasco. Serve over ice in a tall glass with a lemon wedge.
Upgrade: Serve with pickled green beans or pickled asparagus spears.
