Okay, I know this is the lazy man's way, but shoot, I don't grind my own flour or refine my own sugar either. I especially like Betty's lemon poppyseed mix with some dried cranberry's thrown in. I try not to look at the ingredients list on the mix box with all the chemical additives.

been making it for years, and it always comes out yummy. I use different kinds of muffin mixes too and add all kinds of ingredients. They all come out really good.

I hardly call this a recipe.

OMG! This is not a recipe... 0 stars! (well, it would have been 0, but it wouldn't let me post with out 1.)

Yeah, I'm disappointed. I don't want to bake out of a bag... Can we have the real recipe, please?

Don't insult our intelligence by giving us "recipes" that start out using a prepared mix. When I bake and cook I want to know that I created what I've prepared.

Box muffins??? Why not just buy the box with the flavor you want???? I thought this was a site that promoted fresh real ingredients- not a quickie!!! Let's be REAL with the ingredient's too.....Sounds like a TV show Kris

Agree with the others, if you don't try it....DON"T RATE IT!!!!!! And everyone needs a quick recipe once in a while, especially if you work.

People....So what if it's a mix!! I'm a culinary instructor for 15 years and at times I do use a mix at home for my family for quick fixings. Your local bakeries and local large elegant hotel chains like Marriott, Hilton, Biltmores use mixes or premade chocolate cups, mousse mixes, etc., in all their brunches and desserts you pay to eat. I'm grateful this site gives both quick fixes and step by step recipes. Take it as a "thank you" for the short cut today and file it away. Unless you churn your own butter daily (which is super easy to do), then don't criticize. If you have no use for it...wait for tomorrow's recipe.

So the only 2 real reviews of the recipe each gave it five stars. I don't understand why people review recipes they have no intention of making. I certainly wish I had the time to make everything from scratch every day, but it's not possible. I appreciate the recipe, and thought it was very good. I did get lots of compliments from the people at work. Thanks.
