Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup egg substitute
  • 1/2 cup fat-free milk
  • 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon reduced-calorie margarine, divided
  • 4 (1 1/3-ounce) slices whole wheat bread

Preparation

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a shallow bowl, stirring well with a wire whisk.
  2. Coat a nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Add 1 teaspoon margarine; place over medium heat until margarine melts.
  3. Dip 1 bread slice into egg substitute mixture. Place coated bread in skillet; cook until browned and crisp on each side, turning once. Repeat procedure with remaining margarine, bread, and egg substitute mixture. Serve immediately.
