Cinnamon Cream Hot Cocoa

Ingredients

  • 3 cups skim milk
  • 2 (3-inch) sticks cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/3 cup marshmallow cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • Cinnamon sticks (optional)

How to Make It

  1. Place milk and 2 cinnamon sticks in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, and let cool 10 minutes. Remove and discard cinnamon sticks.

  2. Combine cocoa and sugar; stir well. Add to milk mixture, and stir well. Stir in marshmallow cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wire whisk, until thoroughly heated. Remove from heat; stir in flavorings. Pour into individual mugs. Garnish with cinnamon sticks, if desired.
