This is the BEST apple dessert. I've made it twice in a two week period! It's especially yummy with vanilla ice cream.

I made this for a friends brunch, and everyone loved it!! I made it based on the reviews, and forwarned everyone I had not tried it yet. I was so happy that it was soooo good, a cake you can take anywhere. I am not a baker, but this cake made me look like one!!! Easy to put together and actually tastes and looks like it was difficult!!!

Perfect! A very moist, almost cheesecake like, cake. I'll definitely make this again.

My husband loves this, he has said this it the best cake he has ever had that I have made for him in over 15 years, and that is a lot of desserts. It is so good. I have made it several times now, great warm with a little vanilla ice cream. Freezes well too!

In my opinion, this is the best Cooking Light recipe ever. I make this at least once a month in the colder months- everyone loves it! I bake for only 40 minutes. I usually measure out all the dry ingredients the night before to save time in the morning. Enjoy!

great recipe - just watch the cooking time - it is easy to overcook - I would say no more than 1 hour

This was amazing! I took it to a friends house for a dinner and everyone loved it. It was very moist. I didn't have Rome apples but used honey-crisp instead. No need to alter recipe either in any other way!I will absolute make it again & again - it's a keeper at my house:)

Best ever apple cake. I used egg substitute and promise margarine to help lower the fat. I followed the rest of the recipe and it was delicious. I will make it again for company.

Yummy and super moist. Couldn't find Rome apples, so I used Honey Crisp. Otherwise followed the recipe exactly...quick to make, and a welcome desert on a fall evening.

This cake is ridiculously good!! It's a light, moist cake with the perfect amount of sweetness from the cinnamon-sugar topping. It's probably my favorite non-chocolate dessert at the moment!

Very tasty! Texture is moist and crumbly. My boyfriend ate pretty much the whole dish... so I am making another one! I do not bake - because I am horrible at baking.. but I did not mess this up so it must be super simple!

What a great dessert! It was easy to make with apples from our garden, and it was delicious and relatively healthy. My family loved it, and I'll be making this again. Can't wait to have it for breakfast.

This is an amazing cake for dessert or brunch. It's truly one of Cooking Light's best recipes. I've made it with whole wheat flour before and other apple varieties when I couldn't find Romes and it comes out perfectly every time. I made it again tonight and used Red Firesides (or Connells) straight from the University of Minnesota's AppleHouse!

Made it for the holidays and it was a hit! I used the 9" springform pan and it baked in just over and hour and 5 minutes.

Very tasty cake. I made the recipe as specified. Only thing I might change next time is tossing the apples with 3 T of the cinnamon sugar mixture and sprinkiling the remaining 1 T on top of cake. I found there was too much cinnamon sugar on top for my taste. I will make this again.

This cake is excellent. Fairly quick to make and even pleased my sister who doesn't like apple pie. Definitely a keeper!

Amazing! Used Gala apples because I couldn't find Rome and it was perfect. Everyone loved it for Christmas Eve dessert and then again the next day for breakfast with coffee while opening presents. Will definitely make again.

Delicious! Reduced sugar by 1/4 cup. Added 1 tsp almond extract , chopped roasted almonds (1/2 cup) and doubled the vanilla. Excellent

Wonderful cake!! I made for a birthday at work and was gone in five mins with many requests to make again for other birthdays!

I have been making this cake for years, and everyone loves it! I must admit though-the first time I made it I read the recipe wrong and used the 2Tbs of cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the cake and the remaining tossed with the apples - and I think it made it better!!! I also used a whole 8oz block of cream cheese-didn't want to waste the extra 2oz, and used granny smith apples since they hold their shape better.

This cake rocks! I did not make any changes to the recipe. It was very moist and flavorful. Made for a dinner party and already had request to make it again.

Made this on a whim for day-after-Thanksgiving breakfast and discovered a new favorite. Used butter, fat-free cream cheese, and Granny Smith apples becase had on hand and could not find Rome. Baked to perfection in an 8-inch springform pan -- lovely presentation. Next time, will put a little more of the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the apples, a little less on top. Great reciope -- will definitely make again.

I have made this 4 times in the past month for various events and it's been delicious every time (even yesterday when I got distracted and added an extra 2 ozs. of cream cheese by a mistake)! Everyone who eats it loves it. It's great for breakfast or dessert and a small slice is all you need to feel satisfied. I use butter, not margarine and have used Braeburn apples (can't find Rome).

This cake is delicious! It has very unique flavor and perfect for a holiday party. It was brought to the office and everyone raved about it- I was skeptical at first but it was wonderful! I would love to try it with a mix of granny smith apples in there. This recipe will be featured in this year's Eat Smart Move More Maintain don't gain Holiday Challenge!

I make this every Christmas for Christmas Morning with my husband. I normally use about 4 or 5 apples though. It makes it really yummy! This is our Christmas tradition that we started when we first got together over 13 years ago :0) We absolutely LOVE this recipe!
