Cider Filling

Yield about 1 1/4 cups

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

How to Make It

  1. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a heavy saucepan; gradually stir in cider. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

  2. Remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice and butter; cool.
