Christmas Pinwheels

These red and green pinwheels are very festive for Christmas.

Ingredients

  • CREAM butter and sugar.
  • ADD egg, vanilla and milk.
  • ADD dry ingredients
  • DIVIDE dough in half. Color one green and one red.
  • CHILL for 1 hr.
  • ROLL each half between two pieces of wax paper. Remove top pieces of wax paper, put red dough on top of green dough.
  • ROLL like a jelly roll, using the wax paper as a guide.
  • WRAP in plastic wrap and CHILL AGAIN approx. 30 -1hr. until firm.
  • SLICE (approx. 1/4 in. thick) and BAKE @ 375 degrees for APPROX. 10-12 MINS.
  • NOTE: Depending on how thick you make your slices will determine time of baking and whether they are soft or crisp.
  • I cut slices between 1/4 in. to 1/2 in.thick so they have crunchy coating but soft on center.
