Ingredients
- Marinade
- 1.5 cup(s) Olive Oil
- 1/3 cup(s) Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 tablespoon(s) Brown Sugar
- 2 - 3 pinch(s) Cayenne Pepper To taste
- 1 whole(s) Braeburn Apple Choose whatever apple you like
- 1 whole(s) Sweet Cubenella Pepper
- 2 clove(s) Garlic
- Main Chili
- 2 pound(s) Boneless / Skinless Chicken Breast
- 1 pound(s) Ground Turkey
- 1 whole(s) Sweet Cubenella Pepper
- 2 whole(s) Knob Onions
- 1 can(s) Large Stewed Tomatoes
- 1 bottle(s) 12 oz Frank's Thick Hot Sauce
- 2 package(s) Chili Seasoning
- 2 can(s) Great Northern Beans
- 3 - 5 pinch(s) Cayenne Pepper To Taste
Preparation
- Cooking utensils:
- Large Frying pan with lid
- Crockpot
- Marinade:
- Mince the garlic.
- Combine oil, vinegar, brown sugar, cayenne pepper and minced garlic.
- Blend the apple and cubenella pepper with 1/4 C of the oil/vinegar mix.
- Combine blended ingredients with the remaining oil/vinegar mix.
- Chili:
- Cube the Chicken and marinate for 1 hour.
- Chop or Dice the onions
- Dice Cubenella Pepper
- Brown the Ground Turkey in Frying Pan, drain, and add to Crockpot.
- Brown the Chicken (pour the marinade into the skillet as well) in Frying Pan then add to Crockpot.
- Add Onions, Cubenella Pepper, Stewed Tomatoes, Chili Seasoning and beans to Crockpot.
- Add Frank's Hot Sauce
- Stir and add Cayenne Pepper to taste
- Cook on low 3 - 4 hours
