If you have leftover pizza or bread dough, put it to delicious use.
4 ounces pizza or bread dough
1 ounce chopped semisweet chocolate
1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
How to Make It
Roll dough into an 8 x 4-inch rectangle, and proceed. Cut dough into 8 (8 x 1/2-inch) strips. Arrange dough on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 425° for 8 minutes. Place chocolate in a zip-top plastic bag; microwave at HIGH for 1 minute. Snip a tiny hole in 1 corner of bag; drizzle chocolate over breadsticks. Sprinkle with sea salt; let stand until set.
This is tasty but be sure to cook the dough to a golden brown. They need to be more "crispy" than doughy or they taste uncooked. 8 min wasn't quite long enough so next time I'll leave in for a few extra minutes.
Also, be sure to knead the chocolate in the bag as it heats so it melts through. otherwise you might end up with a big hunk of chocolate instead of a nice line.
