Chocolate Frosting

Yield frosting for one 8-inch square pan of brownies


  • 1 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons half-and-half
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine

How to Make It

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan; cook over low heat until mixture boils around edge of pan. Remove from heat; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until desired spreading consistency is reached.
