Chocolate Frosting

Yield frosting for one 13- x 9- inch cake


  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 5 1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

How to Make It

  1. Cream butter. Combine sugar and cocoa; gradually add to butter alternately with whipping cream, beating well. Add vanilla; beat until mixture is smooth.
