Ok, this recipe has flaws... When I read through it I didn't think it quite looked right, but I thought I'd try it SL's way anyway (after all it was from the 2004 cookbook, not online). After I mixed it all according to the directions, it in no way looked like it could it be "drizzled" as the directions said. So I got online here at SL and found several Mississippi Mud Cake recipes and discovered that all the ingredients must be cooked together in a sauce pan prior to adding the powdered sugar. Luckily, I was able rescue mine by pouring the whole thing into a sauce pan and melting it (I also added 1/4 cup butter extra and a tsp of vanilla).

my son followed the frosting recipe exactly as is and had no problem with it as the previous reviewer did. the consistency was fine and the frosting drizzled well over the marshmallows on top of the cake. the recipe is generous; he did not use all of the frosting.

It definitely did not drizzle for me, so I added an extra 1/4 cup of milk. The flavor was great with the cake.

This icing is soooooo good! Other reviewers are saying it's difficult to drizzle over the Mississppi Mud Cake, but I haven't had trouble with it. If you scoop the icing into a ziplock bag and cut a hole in the corner of the bag, it's easy to squeeze it over the cake.
