Chocolate Chip Meringue Bars

- 1 pkg fudge cake mix.
- 1/2 c oleo, softened
- 2 T water
- 1 pkg Betty Crocker Fluffy White Frosting Mix
- 1/2 c boiling water
- 1/2 c chopped pecans
- 1/2 c semi sweet chocolate pieces.
- Preheat oven to 350. Combine in large bowl first 3 ingredients. By hand, stir until well combined. Press into ungreased 13x9 or 15x10 pan. Prepare frosting with boiling water as directed on pkg. Spread frosting on unbaked fudge base, keep frosting about 2 inches from pan edge. Frosting will spread while baking. Sprinkle pecans and chocolate pieces over frosting. Bake at 350 for 20-25 min until toothpick inserted near edge of bars comes out clean. Chocolate pieces will not melt. Cool. Makes about 3 dozen bars.
