Chocolate Chip Crumb Cake

Preheat the oven to 350*. Grease 9x13: baking pan.

  • 1/2 cup(s) unsalted butter softened
  • 1-1/2 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 cup(s) sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
  • 2 cup(s) all-purpose flour
  • 1-1/2 tt teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
  • 1-1/2 cup(s) chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon


  1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and 1 cup of the sugar. Add sour cream, eggs, vanilla. Mix well.

  2. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and baking soda.

  3. Add flour mixture to batter and beat until well blended.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix chocolate chips, cinnamon, and remaining 1/2 cup sugar to make topping.

  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the topping over the batter. Pour remaining batter over topping. Sprinkle remaining topping on top of batter.

  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden.
