Chocolate Chess Pie

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 (1-oz.) sqs. unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 9-inch pie crust
  • Garnish: whipped cream

How to Make It

  1. Melt butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat; set aside.

  2. Combine sugars, eggs, milk, flour and vanilla in a medium bowl. Gradually add chocolate mixture, beating constantly. Pour into unbaked pie crust; bake at 325° for 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool before serving. Garnish, if desired.
