Chocolate-Caramel Cafe au Lait

  • 3/4 cup reduced-fat milk
  • 2 tablespoons fat-free caramel-flavored syrup
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate-flavored syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups strongly brewed hot coffee


Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.

Pour 3/4 cup brewed coffee into each mug. Add 1/4 cup milk mixture to each mug, stirring well. Serve hot.

Note: Combine 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules and 3 cups hot water to make 3 cups strongly brewed coffee.
