Made this for a large bridge group and it was very well received.

Although I chose to make the cake from a recipe rather than a box mix, I followed the recipe exactly except for adding homemade marshmallows to the top of the cake. Rave reviews followed. One guest who does not like cake had four slices and took another home for later. A beautiful dessert for a celebration!

Wonderful dessert without the guilt. I'm making this again for 4th of July and serving with fresh strawberries at the request of the family. If you haven't tried it - you should. Enjoy!

Excellent, right down to the presentation--and it was easy to make. I had only a 9" tube pan; i used all the batter and this created a "collar", which was actually kind of cool and held additional pecans (I had to cover it with foil the last 6 minutes of baking time, lest it burn). The chocolate wasn't enough to decorate the cake as in the photo, and I used 2.5 ounces; next time I'll use 3. Caramel was way too much, even though I was "heavy handed" with it; next time I'll halve the amount (and it will still be a lot), and use a little less than half of the butter (the butter taste was a bit strong). The chocolate (2.5 oz.) took 60 seconds to finally melt to drizzling consistency. What a beautiful cake! I made this for someone; wish I could get a taste; I'm sure it's awesome!

First time I made an angel food cake and this topping just puts it over the top. Even though it was just a box mix, it taste so much better than the ready made ones in the grocery store bakeries. I won't be purchasing ready made angel food cake from the store bakery anymore! ;)
