This was absolutely excellent. I did not change the recipe at all aside from decreasing the amount from 8 servings to two. I did use dark chocolate liquor because that is what I keep in the house but I am sure any type would be delicious.

Skip the line at the coffee house and make this warm-up coffee drink all year round. The optional chocolate shavings make for a festive and fun presentation.

Ingredients
- 1 cup chocolate liqueur
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 cups hot brewed espresso
- 1 1/2 cups scalded whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Chocolate shavings (optional)
Preparation
- 1. Combine liqueur and syrup in a microwave-safe dish; heat on HIGH for 30 seconds. Divide liqueur mixture among 8 mugs; add 1/4 cup espresso to each. Froth milk; pour about 1/4 cup milk into each mug. Top with ground cinnamon; garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.
